A Day in the life...  at STARBASE Hill

Day 1

On Day 1 STARBASE Hill engulfs the students in activities encompassing metric measurements, molecular structure and energy!  They may find themselves cheering for molecules and combining chemicals.  Day 1 brings plenty of excitement!

Day 2

With their Day 1 knowledge the students will come back on Day 2 ready to take on states of matter, chemical and physical changes, and Newton's Laws of Motion.  Here, they see plasma in action and launch projectiles for Red the Angry Bird.

Day 3

As the students embark into Day 3, they begin to better understand the challenges of engineers while working with our computer-aided design (CAD) program, Creo.  They also uncover the mysteries of fluids and enhance their skills on the coordinate grid.

                  Day 4                                                     Day 5

Day 4 will take the students into the minute world of the virus and bacteria as they learn about nanotechnology.  Additionally during this time, the students tackle our robots on their Mission to Mars.  They will continue with Creo by engineering a lab module.  To end their day, a guest speaker will dazzle the students with their STEM experiences.
Day 5 brings all the skills and knowledge as the students attempt to save a life.  Robin, Batman's little buddy, has gotten himself into a spacey predicament.  Can our STARBASE Hill students save the day?  Let's hope!  But that's not all, the students will also have challenges with Creo and robotics to round out the day.
